With Imperion's retail launch approaching, this post lays out the print run figures for the set's sealed product. A new blog entry will follow ahead of each future set's launch, detailing its own print numbers. The Kickstarter print run surfaced a number of process issues along the way, and collectors should expect adjustments in future sets as a result.
The previous paper supplier in Japan halted all paper exports amid the war and rising oil prices, leaving the original paper type unavailable and requiring a search for a substitute. The new paper stock used for Unlimited printings is smoother and carries more sheen than the previous stock. Color consistency has improved overall, though some Common cards still show occasional blurred color shifting. The cause has already been identified, and the fix will be applied to future print runs.
