Welcome to Elyrion

World at War

Across Elyrion, rival nations pursue their own interests, often at one another's cost. Land, resources, and technology all become points of conflict as each faction works toward its own survival. Now a foreign menace — a plague that spreads and consumes everything in its path — threatens every corner of the continent. Which of Elyrion's peoples will endure long enough to find a way to stop it?

The Republic of Concordia, built from a broad coalition of citizens, offers one possible answer through unity. The Valrath Dominion, ruled by immortal vampires devoted to scientific inquiry, offers another. Deep within their living forest, the Tribes of the Verdant Shroud place their trust in nature itself for protection. Meanwhile the Aetherion Empire presses its campaign of conquest from the skies, aiming to bring every nation under its rule, and the warlords of the Wyrmscar Peaks refuse to yield, defending mountain strongholds that resist easy capture.

Races of Elyrion

Humans

Humans stand as the dominant race behind Elyrion's two great military powers, the Republic of Concordia and the Aetherion Empire, and each nation has grown through its own method of expansion. Concordia has drawn other nations in through diplomacy, uniting them willingly around a shared vision of the future. The Aetherion Empire's Deus Volara take the opposite path, relying on military force and control of the skies to bring other peoples under their rule.

Therians

Elyrion's anthropomorphic peoples are grouped together as Therians, a category spanning fenrir, nekora, kitsune, leporin, dragonkin, and further subspecies. Shaped by their Primal ancestry, they tend to hold closer to instinct and stay more guarded than other races.

Vampires & Demons

Vampires and demons trace their origin to what might be called a pact with the devil: the blood of an ancient Primal, worked into their DNA through deliberate experimentation. That act gave rise to races that do not age, and who put their extended lifespans and strength toward the steady pursuit of knowledge and wealth.

Sylvans

The pointed-eared Sylvans make their home in the Verdant Shroud and dedicate themselves to defending it from outsiders. For centuries other nations have coveted the wealth of resources found within the Shroud, but the Sylvans, together with the region's territorial beasts and other tribes, aim simply to repel invaders and keep nature's balance intact.

Primals

Millennia ago, the Primals were the gods that watched over Elyrion, though what drove them remains unclear even now. What is certain is the immense power they command — power substantial enough that whole nations have risen on the sites where a handful of unearthed Primals now rest. Some of these beings, remarkably, remain active in the world and still shape its societies today.
